roster after Hundley trade , per report The Green Bay Packers made a big move to settle their quarterback room on Wednesday morning, trading backup Brett Hundley to the Seattle Seahawks for a sixth-round pick in next year’s NFL Draft. The obvious fallout from this decision is that DeShone Kizer has earned the right to back up Aaron Rodgers and will be the second quarterback on the Packers’ 53-man roster when final cuts come down on Saturday. However, the status of undrafted rookie Tim Boyle remained a bit of a question. Boyle impressed in the first two games of the preseason before seeing no action in game three. However, the Packers apparently are so impressed with him that they are unwilling to expose him to waivers and try to get him onto their practice squad for this season. That news comes from ESPN’s Rob Demovsky, who reports that the Packers currently plan to keep both Kizer and Boyle on the 53-man roster.Seeing this decision immediately brings to mind parallels to the 2017 preseason. Last year, the Packers had an established backup in Hundley, but they saw an undrafted rookie, Taysom Hill, impress in preseason action. Rather than keeping three quarterbacks on the active roster, they cut Hill and exposed him to waivers in an attempt to get him onto their practice squad. However Womens Tramon Williams Jersey , the New Orleans Saints claimed Hill for their active roster, preventing the Packers from retaining him.It appears that missing out on Hill is affecting the Packers’ decision-making process this summer. Boyle has showed a strong arm in camp and has played well, but the fact remains that he is an undrafted rookie who threw more interceptions than touchdowns in college. Furthermore, the Packers are facing difficult numbers games at other positions on the roster, such as running back, offensive line, and in the secondary. Keeping a third quarterback would mean that the team would have to subtract another player from one of those other positions.Final cuts are due at 4:00 PM Eastern Time on Saturday. Stay tuned to APC for full coverage of the Packers’ preseason finale in Kansas City on Thursday and all of cut-down weekend. The Green Bay Packers got some fairly solid news on the injury front on Wednesday, as all but two players on the team’s active roster suited up for practice. As the Packers get ready for their week ten game against the Miami Dolphins, the team plans to have a full-pads practice on Thursday, making Wednesday a lighter workload day.The two Packers who did not practice on Wednesday were tight end Jimmy Graham and cornerback Kevin King. Graham has missed a handful of Wednesday practices this year Womens Jimmy Graham Jersey , however, without missing any game action; therefore his absence today should only be concerning if he also misses some time on Thursday.King’s injury seems more concerning, and Mike McCarthy confirmed before practice that he may not play on Sunday. His hamstring injury is the latest in a long line of ailments that have kept him in and out of the lineup over the past season and a half, missing a pair of games early this season as well as parts of a few other games.Thankfully, three other players who left last Sunday’s loss in New England with injuries were all able to practice on a limited basis on Wednesday. Kentrell Brice and Bryan Bulaga both could not return to game action on Sunday, while Martinez did get back on the field briefly. That portends well for the players’ availability against the Dolphins this coming weekend.Meanwhile, Miami listed a whopping 20 players on their injury report on Wednesday, but half of that number were listed as full participants. Another two players were non-participants but for non-injury reasons; meanwhile, quarterback Ryan Tannehill was a limited participant but Dolphins coach Adam Gase confirmed today that he will be ruled out for Sunday’s game. That leaves Brock Osweiler in line to start once again.Check out the full reports below.Packers Wednesday Practice ReportDid Not ParticipateTE Jimmy Graham (knee)CB Kevin King (hamstring)Limited ParticipationS Kentrell Brice (knee)OT Bryan Bulaga (knee)ILB Blake Martinez (ankle)Full ParticipationWR Randall Cobb (hamstring)OLB Nick Perry (ankle)QB Aaron Rodgers (knee)Dolphins Wednesday Practice ReportDid Not ParticipateWR Danny Amendola (not injury related)DE Charles Harris (calf)DE Cameron Wake (not injury related)Limited ParticipationWR Jakeem Grant (Achilles)OT Ja’Wuan James (knee)OL Ted Larsen (neck)WR Kenny Stills (groin)QB Ryan Tannehill (right shoulder)OT Laremy Tunsil (knee/ankle)Full ParticipationOLB Stephone Anthony (quad)OT Jesse Davis (elbow)TE A.J.
